Budget 2026-27
The budget for the financial year 2026–27 of Chembilode Grama Panchayat is being presented before you. This is the first budget of the present administrative committee. Therefore, an effort has been made to include, as far as possible, in this budget the details of the various development projects and non-plan activities that this administrative committee intends to undertake and implement over the next five years.
This year's budget primarily focuses on the productive sector, sanitation and waste management, healthcare, and child-friendly projects. Integrating agriculture with waste management would be a significant achievement. The Panchayat aims to ensure that waste management facilities are established in every household by next year. In the healthcare sector, a comprehensive project titled “Healthy Village” will be implemented next year.
Construction of a new auditorium at the site where the old community hall stood in Chakkarakkal is currently in progress. The Panchayat also intends to implement a multipurpose project at the site of the existing Chakkarakkal bus stand. The project will include a modern bus stand-cum-shopping complex, parking facilities, a mini auditorium, toilets, and other amenities. The project will be completed using MLA funds, the Hon’ble Chief Minister’s Local Area Development Fund, or any other available funding sources.
Administrative sanction has been received for the Kakkoth Stadium Road project, with an allocation of ₹1 crore from the MLA Fund. Approval has also been obtained for a project to purchase 25 cents of land at Mauvanchery for a playground. The construction of the auditorium near the Panchayat office will be completed next year. The project to construct playgrounds in all wards will also be implemented next year.
Projects will continue to be formulated this year with a focus on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals adopted by the United Nations. Significant achievements were made in project expenditure during 2024–25. As in previous years, the Panchayat also achieved 100% tax collection last year.
This budget has been prepared based on the funds and other financial assistance expected from the State Government and Central Government, as well as the Panchayat’s own revenue. With the expectation of the continued support and cooperation of people from all sections of society, as in previous years, this budget is hereby presented before you with the aim of achieving all the proposed objectives.
